Obama won

With a calm smile on his face, Obama deflected one attack after another.  His countenance was of a man who would not be baited.  Obama won this final debate.

McCain needed to bring his A game.  He needed policies that countered Obama's logical ways of dealing with the up coming economic crisis.  McCain failed.  He did not have anything new.  All he had were snarky remarks and attacks that had been refuted by many in the media.  

The results of this debate for me are Obama won.  I hope others in America saw this too.

Sarah Palin bad for Alaska

Palin has been a bad example of an Alaskan.  Her family does not reflect every Alaskan. Wasilla is not all of Alaska.

I have been reading a lot of ignorant stuff about Alaska lately.  There are so many assumptions that Palin has given people about Alaska, it makes me sick. 

I was raised there.  Spent 20 years of my life, living learning and playing in that state.  When I moved to the lower 48, I had my own assumptions of what it would be like.

I was wrong about thinking that all of the lower 48 were gang cities and murders on every corner.  I was wrong thinking everybody would be on drugs, in the lower 48.  I was wrong that everybody in the lower 48 would be rude and ugly to each other.   I was wrong that there were only natural disasters in the lower 48.  As I saw nightly on the local news.

 If I could be wrong about the Lower 48, then it is safe to say what people are getting from Palin and her family is not all of Alaska.  

Alaska is not full of uneducated red necks.  Alaska is not all unwed mother's.  Alaska is not all oil.  Alaska is not all religious nuts. All Alaskans don't own guns and shoot innocent animals.

I worked for Greenpeace a few days, I canvassed a couple of neighborhoods for donations.  Yes, some Alaskans turned me down, but a few were environmentalists.  I went to University of Alaska Anchorage.  I graduated from a high school, but knew many Home School individuals who got diplomas from correspondence school and UAA.  

I absolutely hate what I have been reading.  I think Palin should find another state.  She is bad for Alaska.  She is not Alaska.  She is an individual who is after power.  Sarah Palin will be bad for the United State of America.
