!$% oops 145 dollars a barrel!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the goal of the Bush administration was to make oil companies richer.  I know they succeeded.  

I used to live in a state that gave money to its population, when the budget was infused with oil money.  I took that, well, my parents took that money and for a short time as an adult I did too.  I have benefited by oil, so you don't have to read my opinions if you don't want to, on this subject.

I know that Alaska is paying one of the highest gas prices currently in this nation.  Why?  Because the barrels of oil have to be boated to a refinery, that is not in state, then shipped back up.    

Why do I mention this? Because there has been a call for more drilling and refineries to be built.  

This is a double edge sword.  Increase and prolong the oil dependancy of this country by drilling and building more refineries seems stupid.  But some people are making huge amounts of money from profits.  Why fix something that is not broken? Some might ask.

Encouraging new technology and getting rid of the alarm of higher oil prices is smart.

That is not the way the oil barons think.  They want higher prices.  They want profit.  They will sell a product without care of the future because of "GREED".  

This country can not compete in the world economy if energy costs keep going up.  The oil barons don't care about that because they are creating new markets overseas.  Maybe the USA is going to be a third world country.  

I sure don't want that to happen, but the Republican party that has power certainly does...

H.R.H. John McCain speaks up again

Okay, H.R.H. John McCain has told the American Public that, we are a nation of whiners.  Oh correction 6:15pm, a country club buddy said that a member of his campaign.

What an elitists out of touch statement!

This man has been in the Senate for too long.  He has also been married to a multi-millionairess for too long.  

I think his "country club buddies" that listen to, whiny conservative talk radio hosts, snicker at the dumb Americans for buying their line of B.S. that the conservatives could lower the tax burden for the middle class and balance a budget. 

Conservatives have succeeded in lowering the taxes for the rich, and placing a huge debt on others backs, so they can get richer now at the expense of the environment and our children's future.  

Senator McCain is out of touch with working Americans.  He is out of touch with the military, and has voted against veteran's issues.   H.R. H. John McCain is just an elitists, who panders to get the highest office in the land, to continue policies that undermine freedom as we know it.
